Hubble sends back 500-megabyte image
This photograph features the giant nebula NGC 2014 and its neighbour NGC 2020. They are part of a vast star-forming region in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, located approximately 163,000 light-years away.
It's one of the most photogenic examples of the turbulent images observed by the Hubble Space Telescope in its 30-year lifetime.
This image was featured as the Space Photograph of the Day on our YouTube channel.
